A History Down Under
BSA and Australia: A Long Road Together
BSA was a fixture in Australian sheds and on Australian roads for generations. The little BSA Bantam was such a runaway success here that it helped bring local production of homegrown machines, including the Sydney built Acme, to a close by the end of the 1940s.
Through the 1960s the BSA A50, sold across Australia as the Royal Star, became a firm favourite, while BSA machines also served with the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police. For decades, owning a BSA was simply part of the Australian riding story.
The reborn BSA range returns to Australia through Perth based distributor Leisk Moto Imports, led by Jeff Leisk, the former Managing Director of KTM Australia. A proudly Western Australian operation is bringing this legendary marque back to our roads, and Albany Motorcycles is your local dealer. Every model is LAMS approved and Euro 5+ compliant, so the BSA your grandfather could only dream of is a bike a brand new rider can own today.
